 | The John A. Kuzmann Memorial Post 469 commissioned a replacement of the stone monument that stood for many years in Longport, New Jersey. Our office developed a concept for a sundial, registered to demark the dates and times of some thirty dates of significant military history. The gnomon (center of the 5-pointed star) shadow falls on a bronze medallion that represents the event, at the time it occurred.
This memorial allows the public a means for engagement and has met with success. Pivotal to the execution of the work was Ray Sciullo, contractor and Jose Chora, an artist who fabricated the metal work. Both Longport Mayor John Stroebele and Chief Cianci were instrumental in promoting the project. |
 | As a collaborative effort with CBArchitects, we developed the schematic and preliminary designs for the Atlantic County Library System Pleasantville branch. |
 | Comprehensive renovations to the kitchen, installation of handicapped facilities and construction of a new utility building served to augment this existing Lutheran facility. Exterior finishes were revised, new entrances built and a landscape plan delineated. |
 | The church required additional space for fellowship, handicap-accessible facilities and at the same time needed to plan for long-term expansion of it's sanctuary. We admired the church for it's existing design of shaker origin. The new work honors the existing building and provides the congregation with space for it's varied activities. |
 | This project entailed the addition of multiple class room spaces, integration of an existing structure to an adjacent adaptive reuse building and innovative renovations to the central sanctuary. The sanctuary interior received a special developed acoustic ceiling that reflects and transmits acoustic energy originating from the chancel, while absorbing sound originating from the nave. Our efforts enlarged and provided daylighting into the chancellery completely revising the character of this sacred space. |
